The most humanized compound word in German, in my opinion, is "Jein." It's so funny that, no matter translating it into English or Chinese, you just can't capture the precise meaning. As the only child of the well-known couple Ja (yes) and Nein (no), Jein has become definitely a savior for those with decision-making difficulties.
The artwork features black, white, and silver as the primary colors, brought to life through a freestyle collage on a fabric strip. To decorate the tiny dots of the letters, I employed a traditional Chinese button-making technique known as "Stuffing," which creates a 3D puffy effect. When the word stretches across the canvas, it divides the space into two distinct areas. Yet, from a distance, it surprisingly looks like a human silhouette.
